Supporting Ontology and Knowledge Graph Development on the Web
A Talk by Rafael Gonçalves (Research Scientist, Stanford University)
About this Talk
The Protégé team at Stanford University has been developing software for formally representing knowledge since the early 90s.
With the growing adoption of logic-based knowledge representation languages that have precisely-defined semantics—such as the W3C standard Web Ontology Language—the WebProtégé ontology editor has enjoyed increasing traction and demand from its growing user base.
In particular, the recent popularity of so-called “knowledge graphs” has brought a new wave of users to the WebProtégé user community, and fresh requirements from industry collaborators.
In this talk, we will discuss how recent collaborations with Pinterest, Elsevier Health, and BASF have given rise to new features in WebProtégé for improved ontology and knowledge graph engineering.
