Giuseppe Futia

Research Scientist | Knowledge Graph Engineer, Nexa Center for Internet & Society Research Scientist and Knowledge Graph Engineer at the Nexa Center for Internet and Society. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in September 2020. His research interests focus on semantic modeling, data integration, and Graph Neural Networks.

About this speaker

Giuseppe Futia is currently the technical supervisor of Geranium, a semantic recommendation system to explore the Politecnico di Torino publications. He is also the main developer and the project manager of TellMeFirst, a tool based on Wikipedia for the semantic classification of textual contents. He is currently the assistant of Prof. Juan Carlos De Martin within the Digital Revolution course of the Politecnico. During his research activities, Giuseppe contributed to the first prototype of the ContrattiPubblici.org search engine, born within the Nexa Center, and currently developed by the Synapta start-up. In his professional career, he was also responsible for the communication of the Nexa Center and freelance journalist for the La Stampa newspaper.
